  April 26th-27th White Tara Initiation
An Initiation into the practice  of Wish Fulfilling White Tara will be given by  Ven. Panchen Otrul Rinpoche

To participate students must:
1. Have taken refuge.

2. Be willing to attend the retreat and maintain the commitment of a daily practise.  Further details on request.


May 10th - 11th Yamantaka Teachings
Further teachings will be given by Ven. Panchen Otrul Rinpoche on the practise of Yamantaka, for those having the initiation and having fulfilled the retreat and mantra requirement.

June 7th  Introduction To Buddhism
A one day informal course for anyone interested in the teachings of the Buddha and Buddhist meditation practise.

From 10.30 a.m. - 4 p.m.  Cost 50 euros.


June 15th Saga Dawa
Celebration of the Buddha's birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana.  Everyone welcome.  Please bring food to share and musical instruments.


Starts 11 a.m.


June 16th Summer Solstice Celebration
Will include a purification ceremony for the environment


Starts 2.30 p.m.


June 28th   Universal Day Of Prayer
This day was initiated by H.H. the Dalai Lama. Prayers will continue the whole day in the shrine room. Everyone welcome to join in during the day.

July 5th - 6th  A Very Special Weekend
Please join us in
a weekend of thanksgiving and gratitude to our teachers


Saturday 5th July -  Birthday celebration and prayers for the long life of H.H. the Dalai Lama 

Starts 2.30 p.m.


Sunday 6th July -  Long Life Ceremony for our precious teacher Ven. Panchen Otrul Rinpoche.  This will include offerings and prayers

Starts 11 a.m.  Please bring food to share. 


July 18th  Mahayana Precepts
A purification practise at the time of the new moon. The practise lasts for 24 hours and includes partial fasting.  Those wishing to participate should arrives on Thursday evening.   


July 26th - 27th White Tara Retreat
For those people who have taken the initiation of White Tara.


August 4th  Open Day
Everyone is invited to come and spend an informal day at the centre, and to enjoy the garden and grounds.  Afternoon tea is provided in our 'Tea Shop' and Mongolian and Indian crafts in our 'Craft Shop'

Open from 2.30 p.m. - 5.00 p.m.

August 9th-10th Work Weekend
These weekends are an excellent opportunity for people wanting to visit the centre for the first time or to just come and  help. They are extremely useful for the centre and we encourage people to participate.   We offer meals and accommodation in exchange for help in the grounds. The weekend also offers periods of meditation.


August 16th  Mahayana Precepts

August 23rd - 24th  Family Weekend
Come and have fun - a weekend of activity and games for all ages-parents are invited too!  Bring your tent or caravan, or stay in Tara House.  Book a place soon.

September 6th -7th  Work Weekend
This weekend will be preparation for the return of Ven. Panchen Otrul Rinpoche to Ireland.  Anyone willing to help both inside the house and in the grounds will receive accommodation and meals in return for their help.  Thank you.

Other events

Dharma for Children


A regular meeting will be held on the last Saturday of each month,  gently introducing youngsters to the practise of Dharma. It will include a range of activities, both inside and out, and usually a little time in the shrine room. We welcome parents to participate in this new venture with their children. It is not necessary to come every month.

Meditation for Beginners   

Every Tuesday in Tara House from 7p.m - 8 p.m.

Sunday 13th July Yoga with Lauren Hensey.

10 a.m. - 12 a.m. Cost 40 euros 

May 18th Bird Watch Ireland will visit the centre to hear the Dawn Chorus

Anyone wishing to join/listen be here by 4p.m. - tea and buns afterwards!

May 30th Bat Talk And Walk - will start at 8.30 p.m.

considering the number of bats now living at the centre this should be an interesting exercise.


Residential Stay: A vacancy is available to become a resident at the Centre for a minimum of two weeks. This is an opportunity to join in the daily routine and practices and help with the running of Rinpoche's Centre.

Individual Work Weekend

An opportunity for Rinpoche's students

(maximum two people per weekend) to offer their time to help with the maintenance of their Centre. Accommodation and meals provided.
