a double and single room), a purpose built kitchen, and
a dining room overlooking a one hundred and fifty year

A Special Setting
Tara House is situated deep in the ancient landscape of
West Cavan. To the north rise the Cuilcagh Mountains,
legendary birthplace of the river Shannon.
The silence and unspoilt natural beauty of this special
environment makes this
an ideal location to relax and recuperate away from the
stresses and strains of modern day life. |

The Grounds
Tara house is part of a 13-acre estate bordering one of
Cavan's many beautiful lakes. The grounds include mature
birch forest with woodland paths, a walled garden, an
orchard, and views of the spectacular Cuilcagh Mountains.
Altogether this setting creates a unique spiritual atmosphere,
ideal for contemplation, meditation and transformation.

A
Place of Loving Kindness Tara
House originated from the vision of Lama Panchen Ötrul
Rinpoche the spiritual director of Jampa Ling Tibetan
Buddhist Centre. The Tibetan words 'Jampa' and 'Ling'
translate as "place of loving-kindness". Since
its establishment in 1990 the centre's main aim has been
to promote peace and happiness for all living beings.
We hope Tara House will advance this vision by providing
a place
of health, learning and self-development. |
