As you are probably aware, Anita and Tommy Hayes will be undertaking a 175km (~110 mi) trek from their home in Clare to Jampa Ling to raise funds for the purchase of Owendoon House, the building which is the home of Jampa Ling Tibetan Buddhist Centre! They are beginning their trek this coming Friday, 15th August, and they hope to complete the walk by Saturday 30th August.
To show our support, and to hear their tales of their travels, we are organising a welcome tea party for the happy trekkers on:
Sunday 7th September at 2.30pm
At Jampa Ling
(after the commencement of the work weekend). As their arrival to Jampa Ling coincides with the White Tara Retreat, we are unable to host the welcome party then.
On behalf of the Venerable Panchen Ötrul Rinpoche, we would like to take this opportunity to invite you (and friends) to attend the afternoon of Sunday 7th September at 2.30pm in support of Anita and Tommy, and the Owendoon House Purchase Fund.
We would also like to ask if you would like to bring your donations in support of their walk to Jampa Ling that afternoon.
We are organising an open fundraising meeting for everyone that evening, following the tea party, where all will be informed of the current fundraising projects that are ongoing at present for the purchase of Owendoon House, as well as an opportunity for you to have input into various fundraising initiatives.
This is a very important event, as it will strengthen our communication channels amongst each other, and bring us closer together.
It is important that we all work together, helping each other, to achieve our goals in this life, and being part of Jampa Ling’s future is one of them.
If you would like to attend, please contact Jampa Ling. If you are unable to attend, please forward any donations to Jampa Ling, as well as any suggestions you might have for fundraising initiatives for Jampa Ling. We will be forwarding details of the meeting via email to all.
Thank you for your support, and we hope to hear from you soon!
