A PEACEFUL MIND—A PEACEFUL LIFE
This is a weekend of guided meditations to help us develop awareness of what brings us peace of mind and harmony in our lives. We all wish for a calmer and more fulfilling life and these meditations help us look at what may bring us this. There will be sitting meditations and a period of walking meditation. It will be possible to have a discussion or question and answer period on the Saturday night if participants would like that. You are welcome to arrive on the Friday evening. ONE DAY YOGA/GENTLE STRESS RELIEF
In our modern society we are constantly overstimulated by phones, social media, TV and advertisements. Relaxing and calming down can be difficult at times; body and mind react with impatience, anxiety, muscle tension and sleeping problems. Yoga can’t provide an instant cure but with a regular practice it can help to ease tension and unwind a busy mind. This workshop provides a simple introduction to yoga asanas (exercises), breathing and mindfulness techniques. The yoga practice is suitable for all abilities and is focused on Hatha Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra.

VESAK SAGA DAWA
The celebration of the Buddha’s birthday, enlightenment and entering nirvana. It is also known as Vesak in Sanskrit. We invite you to share this special day at Jampa Ling as we celebrate with a smoke puja (traditional Tibetan purification ceremony) in the garden and prayers in the Shrine Room with the gracious presence of Ven. Lama Panchen Ötrul Rinpoche. Please bring vegetarian food to share and your musical instruments if you would like to play!

LONG LIFE PRAYERS FOR PANCHEN ÖTRUL RINPOCHE As Rinpoche’s students we are greatly indebted to him for our progress in the Dharma. His presence, his knowledge and skill as a teacher are essential to us all as we try to make progress. It is with this thought that we gather to pray for his continuing good health and long life. The prayers and practices are to help to bring us closer to Rinpoche and help him transmit the teachings to us.

UNPLUGGED WEEKEND
Disconnect from your phone, reconnect with yourself. Feel refreshed and recharged from the benefits of detoxing from your phone for a while. Take time to relax your mind through guided and silent meditations. Enjoy some gentle relaxing yoga during the day in the supportive setting offered by a traditional Tibetan Buddhist centre. The weekend includes a fabulous walk in the countryside and super-healthy and delicious vegetarian food in the company of like-minded people.

SUMMER SOLSTICE
Midsummer’s Day has been a traditional time for friends to gather together and mark this significant occasion in the yearly round. Summer solstice ceremonies have been carried out for many centuries in Tibet and other areas of the world. In Tibet, Buddhist ceremonies are done to purify the environment of any negative energies. The ceremonies start in the shrine room at Jampa Ling and continue in the gardens.

In this workshop we will fuse gentle yoga asanas (exercises) and simple meditation techniques to heighten body awareness and develop mindfulness in our daily life. A harmonious balance of yoga and meditation strengthens body and mind for all the challenges we have to face. This yoga practice is suitable for all abilities, especially beginners, and is focused on Hatha Yoga and Pranayama (breathing exercises).

Every year at Jampa Ling we celebrate the birthday of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and this year on his 83rd birthday we again celebrate with prayers for his long life and good health.
