Dear students and friends of Jampa Ling,
We wanted to keep you up to date with some important recent news from Jampa Ling. Firstly, we have a new website. It still has the same name and location and can be visited here www.jampaling.org . From now on as well as our traditional mail-out, we will have regular updates on the website homepage with new and upcoming events. We promise not to send you emails too often and we will provide a facility for you if you wish to unsubscribe.
We would like to thank everyone who took part in our survey of Jampa Ling last year. We thank you for your kind words and have paid close attention to your suggestions and hope to make many improvements in the coming year. For those of you who have kindly offered to make a monthly donation for the running of the centre we will provide that facility on the website or you can contact the office directly.
One of the most important developments is that we have begun a campaign to purchase Owendoon House and grounds. This is a marvellous opportunity to secure Rinpoche’s home for now and into the future, and to secure Jampa Ling for future generations in Ireland. We hope you will join us in this venture. If you have any ideas for fundraising events do let us know. We will post updates on how the campaign is going on the website.
As many of you will already know Younam has joined our team at Jampa Ling, we would like to wish him the very best in his new position. On a final note we’d like to announce that Ani-la (Margery Cross) has officially retired from her positions of Director of Jampa Ling and from the Board of Trustees. We would like to extend our warmest thanks to her for her tremendous service over the years, without which the centre would not be here.
Thank you again for all your support now and into the future.
Kind regards,
Rinpoche and the Trustees
