Ven Panchen Ötrul Rinpoche’s Winter Teachings 2017/2018
This winter we are honoured that Ven Panchen Otrul Rinpoche will teach from the text called the ‘Easy Path.’
It was first taught in 1570 CE by the 1st Panchen Lama during a summer retreat to an assembly of monks at Tashi Lhunpo Monastery in Tibet.
It is a path which can take practising students to the state of Enlightenment.
It is achieved by listening to these teachings, given by a realised Master, with a clear lineage to the Buddha and then studying and meditating on his teachings and the text.
It is presented here by Ven. Rinpoche in a concise form during these Winter teachings.
This teaching is even more relevant today in a world which is highly confused, angry and stressed, even as people continue to search for security and understanding.
We can learn, however, to realise that as human beings we are extraordinary in our ability. We are able to be still during meditation. We can find the deep ethical commitment and determination necessary to purify the mind, so we can develop love and compassion for all sentient beings. We can develop our own potential to harness the inner energy of the mind that brings freedom from suffering and thus realise lasting peace and happiness.
This path only then becomes ‘easy’ when it is internalised and integrated into one’s daily life.

Generosity, Ethics and Patience.
Including the Four Immeasurable (again)
5 17th-18th February 2018
Enthusiasm, Meditation and Wisdom.
Including instructions on deep meditation.

SPRING Retreat 2018
Spring Retreat Starts 30 March Friday – 02 April Monday 2018 [Easter Weekend]
(Please plan to arrive on Thursday, 29th March if possible)
This is a silent retreat. It is a led retreat using meditations on the teachings given by Ven. Rinpoche during the winter teachings. It is an opportunity to deepen our understanding of the teachings and integrate them into our daily lives.
