We are looking for a volunteer who can cook vegetarian meals (breakfast, lunch and evening soup) up to 4 days per week for around 10 to 15 people. Occasionally there may be large groups of up to 35 people.

Breakfast is a simple meal, consisting of porridge, some cereals, toast and tea.

Lunch is the main meal of the day and consists of buffet-style meals of around three or four dishes. Occasionally gluten-free, sugar-free and dairy-free people come.

The evening meal is soup served with bread and cheese.

The days are flexible. All meals are self-service – guests and volunteers serve themselves at mealtimes. There is no individual ordering of meals. You will be provided with accommodation and meals 7 days per week.

We have daily meditation practices that you are more than welcome to attend. Our Centre has a Victorian walled vegetable garden which provides a lot of vegetables, salads, fruits and herbs for the kitchen. Also on our grounds we have a Stupa and a mature birch woodland with walks leading down to a lake. There is a library room in Owendoon House with different books in Buddhism and general books.

Please contact us if you are interested.
