Fundraising Concert in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
To mark the 30th annual visit of Venerable Rinpoche to Mongolia, a distinguished fundraising concert was generously organised by Hurd Rock, one of Mongolia’s most revered and celebrated rock bands, alongside several prominent artists in Ulaanbaatar.
This special occasion aimed to support Venerable Rinpoche’s long-standing humanitarian and spiritual initiatives, which have profoundly benefited many people in Mongolia since 1995.
Venerable Rinpoche Receives Highest State Honours Award
In recognition of his tireless dedication and commitment to humanitarian efforts, by decree of the President of Mongolia, Venerable Rinpoche has been awarded one of the highest state honours, the Order of the Red Banner of Labour, which was formally presented by Mr. R. Seddorj, Member of Parliament and Chair of the Standing Committee on Economics.
Venerable Rinpoche’s long connection to Mongolia is deeply rooted. His first spiritual teacher was a revered Mongolian Geshi Lharampa, whose heartfelt wish was for Rinpoche to benefit the people of Mongolia. In honouring this aspiration, Venerable Rinpoche has faithfully upheld his teacher’s legacy with deep commitment and unwavering dedication.
Venerable Rinpoche dedicated his efforts over the past thirty years to reviving Buddhism and providing humanitarian aid to the Mongolian people. During that time, he has promoted moral values, guided people towards peace and right livelihoods, provided educational opportunities for children and youth, delivered essential health services, generated employment, and improved living standards for the vulnerable.
Children from The Hot Meal Project and Irish Sponsorship
Venerable Rinpoche generously distributed clothing and school supplies to over 60 vulnerable children, advising them to stay healthy, study diligently, and live harmoniously with one another. The children receive ongoing support through the Hot Meal Project of Asral Centre in Mongolia, which provides essential nutritional and educational aid to those in need, as well as through individual sponsorship support from friends of Jampa Ling in Ireland.
