‘We experience the relative or conventional truth through the six senses. On top of these we have different projections. For example, we think “I like this colour, I don’t like that colour”, and so forth. These are our own habits and ways of thinking. These likes and dislikes cause attachment and aversion to different objects, which ultimately bring dissatisfaction to us.’

The Venerable Panchen Ötrul Rinpoche.
